The EU House in Sofia has a ‘European Union Information Centre’, referred below as the ‘Centre’. The general objective of the Centre is to provide quality information services about the European Union (EU) for the general public, policymakers and the media: to inform European citizens about the EU, the European institutions and policies, and, in particular, about the rights of EU citizens and the EU’s priorities. The specific purpose of the Centre is to provide visitors, visiting groups and participants at events, organised at the EU house premises with quality information services about the EU, such as: answering enquiries; assisting citizens in their search for information; ensuring availability and distribution of publications/information materials; managing and coordinating events at the conference hall of the EU House; organising seminars, visits and training for citizens; providing support to special campaigns and events; ensuring that the premises are kept presentable and attractive to visitors; managing traineeships at the Centre; administrative support and other tasks; participating in fairs or other events on request of the contracting authority.
